Months 4 and 5: A Little Failure and a Little Update

Image
Hi there, For those who don't know, this year (2019) I decided it would be a good idea to read a book a month. Months 1, 2 and 3 went pretty great. However, in months 4 and 5 I had a little failure. But that won't stop me! So, what happened? P.S. I'm not good at telling you what a book it actually about so Included links to each of the book's Goodreads page so you can check that out if you want.  In April, I was supposed to read Eyes Wide Open by Ted Dekker . However, I only finished it on my plane ride to Texas which was May 4th. So, I failed to read that one on time. However, I really did like the book. I really love Ted Dekker's books. But, they aren't for everyone. His books can fall into the categories of thriller, fantasy, psychological thriller, horror and mystery. I've read a couple before this one and loved them. Month Two: Do More Better

Image
Hi there, February is officially over now and March has begun. For month two of this year, I read Do More Better by Tim Challies. I actually procrastinated and read it over the past week and a half. It has 108 pages and ten chapters plus 11 pages of bonus content. So, it's really not a very long or large book. But, it was pretty good and here's why. The book is 'a practical guide to productivity' . It gives you a Christ centred perspective and guidance on productivity. the first few chapters are about what it means to be productive and why we should be and why?  "Productivity is effectively stewarding your gifts, talents, time, energy and enthusiam for the good of others and the glory of God."   -Tim Challies The next few chapters are about defining your responsibilities and your mission. This is super helpful because it helped me to see exactly what I have on my plate which really helps in knowing how to be productive in my specific life....

Image
Dear Reader, My birthday was while ago now but in June I turned 17 years old! Yep, I've been blessed with over 17 years old living now. I am by far not the wisest person out there and I have a lot still to learn but everyone always has something to teach you and so today I thought I'd share with you 17 things I've learned in my 17 years of living. These are in no particular order; just the order in which they're coming to me as I write them now and there are some photos sprinkled in there just to break everything up and so you can see the beautiful faces of our students again :D  1. If you have ants in your sugar put it in the sun for a while and the ants will leave on their own because they don't like the heat . Lee May taught me this one day when we were baking together and I found a whole bunch of ants in my white sugar. It's a very handy trick if you live in Cambodia.  2. It takes more courage and self confidants to cover my body instead of sh...
