My Testimony: 2019 Version

Image
Hi, Back in January of 2017, I told my testimony. However, testimonies are ever-evolving, ever-growing and ever-changing. As you grow and mature you see things that you've never seen before. As they say, hindsight is 20/20. Meaning that so often we can only see what was really happening when we look back on it. I recently applied for Bible school and a part of that was a written testimony. So, I decided to share it here too. I've tweaked it a little and edited it to be a little more appropriate for this platform. Hre's a warning. My story is a really long, complicated story. But, I think that everything is important. A lot of my story requires a lot of explaining. So, here we go! I had the great privilege to be raised in a solid Christian home. Church attendance was mandatory, even if we were on vacation. Modesty was highly encouraged. We were always involved in the church. But we moved a lot. I’ve lived in about 15 houses during my life, that I can think of! My mo...

Too Much to Lose (Story)

Image
There was a man who worked as a missionary somewhere in South America. He had been working in a Leper Camp. While working there he got to know a man who had been living in the camp for a long time. This man was very sick, in fact he was dying. He had no hands and no feet left because of the leprosy. He had lost his ears and nose too. He was a very sick man. He would then use his arm stumps to lift the tin to his mouth and eat. He was a very poor, very sick man. Now this missionary man had been working with the leper for a while now, but he had to return to America. On his last day in the camp the missionary man, along with a translator, talk to the leper for the last time and begged him to accept Jesus as he was so close to dying. But the leper looked up at the missionary and...

Precious Children

Image
Dear readers, We are all different. We all come from a different place. We all have a different background. These children come from the slums of our city. They live on the streets. They feel hungry, they get  beaten, they are stripped of the right to go to school, they are forced to hit the streets to beg. Each and everyone of them are beautiful and I love them all. Three times a week the pastor, my parents and I get into a rickety old truck to collect these children. Some days we have 25 of them, other days we have 10. When the truck wheels come to a stop, the children come running from all directions. We wash them and their cloths, feed them and teach them about the love God has for them. The saddest thing about these children is that they are not loved. People here don't want to associate with them. Yes, they are dirty, but they can't help that. Yes they are wild, but they know no different. Yes, they come from the slums, but they cannot do anythin...
