Pailin

Hello,
Last Friday we left for Pailin in the late morning. Pailin is a boarder crossing to Thailand. We went  there to get a new visa. We had to get a one month visa because we changed NGOs so that we could make it into a one year visa soon. It took about an hour and a half to get to the boarder and we spent two hours in Thailand. While there we ate lunch and had a good chat with our friend Sovan and our Taxi driver.

Hmmm, what should I have?
We got back to Battambang with minimal  difficulties. We were always able to go straight up to the windows. No lines for us this time around! Our Taxi river and Sovan were extremely helpful as well. It was a relaxing time. But we wont have to do it again in a while anyway!

Hey there friends, A while ago I asked if I could teach a Sunday School lesson on Bible study methods to our youth group. A Little Life Update

 Hey there friends, I've been gone from here for almost a year this time around! The last time I posted was in March of 2021. Life has been wonderful and crazy all at the same time. I'm so excited to say that I've got a brand new blog post to share with you. But, I thought it may be nice to share a little life update before we get to that. Firstly, I've taken on some responsibilities with our church. I do the scheduling for the kid's ministry. I am one of the teachers for our K-4th grade Sunday School class and I help with Children's church during service. Noah helps lead the youth Sunday School class and I got to chaperone our youth camp back in June. We took on hosting our community group every Sunday night for a while until we recently started meeting at our church building. Habakkuk: a Hidden Gem in the Old Testament

Happy Friday, friends! Buried among the minor prophets of the Old Testament is a three-chapter book called Habakkuk, and it just happens to be my favorite book of the Bible! Today I want to share with you my passion for Habakkuk. First of all, how did I come to love this book so much? About three or four years ago, I came across verses 17 to 19 of chapter 3. I can’t remember how, but I immediately fell in love with them. They became some of my all-time favorites. So when I attended Bible School and a teacher told us to choose a life verse, I knew exactly which ones I wanted. A life verse is your go-to Scripture. It’s for when you face anxiety, fear, or stress. It’s a verse or a passage that you keep close by for the times when you find yourself drowning in the storms of life. It’s the lifesaver that brings you back to Jesus.
