Ricky and Rosie

Hi everyone,
Today I would like to introduce you to Ricky and Rosie! These two came to us about a month ago. They're adorable, playful, healthy sisters. They came from a village outside of town and found have been sent to a pagoda if they had not have found a home for them. The story of how they ended up with us is actually a really funny story.

So our friends the Ecks introduced us to Rose and Emily. Emily is from England and Rose is Khmer. They live really close to us with Rose's nephew Dom. Anyway, Emily put my mums number in her phone as Vince's friend as she forgot my mums name.

When they got the kittens they couldn't keep them because they have two dogs. They decided to ask Vince if their family would like to keep the kittens. But instead of texting Vince Emily texted Mum having just read Vince's and not the full name (Vince's friends). Mum said that we would love to see they kittens so they arranged to bring the kittens around one evening but they never showed up. Assuming they had been talking with Vince they brought the kittens over to their house. Of course they were not expecting them to come over and not even have heard about the kittens.

They eventually figured out what had happened with the names in the phone. The Ecks kept the kittens but a week later gave them to us. Now they've been with us for a bit under a month I think and we have been loving having those two cuties around. Oh and now we are under Sharelle in Emily phone and not just Vince's Friend!

Hey there friends, A while ago I asked if I could teach a Sunday School lesson on Bible study methods to our youth group. This isn't usually my class but as I was sitting in service one Sunday morning I was reflecting on the things I wish I had learned earlier on in life. Bible study methods was the first topic. A Little Life Update

 Hey there friends, I've been gone from here for almost a year this time around! The last time I posted was in March of 2021. Life has been wonderful and crazy all at the same time. I'm so excited to say that I've got a brand new blog post to share with you. But, I thought it may be nice to share a little life update before we get to that. Firstly, I've taken on some responsibilities with our church. I do the scheduling for the kid's ministry. I am one of the teachers for our K-4th grade Sunday School class and I help with Children's church during service. Noah helps lead the youth Sunday School class and I got to chaperone our youth camp back in June. We took on hosting our community group every Sunday night for a while until we recently started meeting at our church building. Habakkuk: a Hidden Gem in the Old Testament

Happy Friday, friends! Buried among the minor prophets of the Old Testament is a three-chapter book called Habakkuk, and it just happens to be my favorite book of the Bible! Today I want to share with you my passion for Habakkuk. First of all, how did I come to love this book so much? About three or four years ago, I came across verses 17 to 19 of chapter 3. I can’t remember how, but I immediately fell in love with them. They became some of my all-time favorites. So when I attended Bible School and a teacher told us to choose a life verse, I knew exactly which ones I wanted. A life verse is your go-to Scripture. It’s for when you face anxiety, fear, or stress. It’s a verse or a passage that you keep close by for the times when you find yourself drowning in the storms of life. It’s the lifesaver that brings you back to Jesus.
