My Life By a Snapshot

Hey there, "Finally another blog post!" I know. I'm mad at me too. But, the past few months have been crazy and crazy amazing. So, here I am to finally tell you all about it and a very important decision I made during that time. Warning; this is a long catch-up post!  Firstly, what on earth have I been up to these past few months? A whole lot! Firstly we have been busy hosting teams, which I absolutely love doing! We had the Gap squad in September and October. Then, three 11n11 teams for the month of November. Now we have another Gap squad for January and February. Why does this make me busy? Well, I have now been employed to cook for them all! It's so much fun and I love it so much. It's such a rewarding job. Each week I get two people to come with me to plan, shop for and cook all our meals. I get to know different people each week. I get to learn new things about food each week. And I get to show new people the back roads and cool quirks of this awesome ...

Hey there, The next few months are going to be crazy! We will be working with a mission organisation called Adventures in Missions (AIM) . They provide short term help to missionaries all over the world. Two of their programs are World Race and Gap Year. World Race are a squad of around 50 people between the ages of 21 and 35 who go to 11 countries in 11 months. In country they break up into teams of around 6 people. They help different missionaries and mission organisations with whatever they need. Gap year do a very similar thing. But, they are 18 to 21 year-olds and they go to 3 to 5 countries in 9 months. Just a beautiful sunset from our balcony  A few doors down is another double apartment. These teams and squads will be housed there whenever they come to Battambang. The girls will stay there but the boys, who are usually significantly less, will be housed in our house. My parents role is to watch over them all and help them if they need help. We will also he...

Hi everyone, This past week has been amazing! Our first ever World Race team arrived on Thursday and let me tell you... They are amazing! There are seven of them; three boys and four girls all from the US. We love them all. They are such an understanding, kind hard working team and we have enjoyed having them so much thus far. Then on Friday they helped us host our first ever Youth Group! We had about 26 kids come to our house. The team sang a few songs then Brittni bravely gave our first youth group message every and did a wonderful job! She told the kids about the reason we as Christians celebrate Christmas and why Advent is so important to us. We played a games and had some snacks too. Some of the kids asked questions and Mum and Rose, our translator, answered them as best they could.
