My Life By a Snapshot

“What is love? What would you say love is?” I was asked this the other day and I had no clue how to answer it. But I’ve been thinking about it a little bit. I’d say I love a lot of people and if I’m being honest with you, I’d say I think I love them well. But what does that even mean? Since I started following God I’ve learnt so much about what love is, especially his incredible, perfect love for me. Jesus is the ultimate example of love. He was a walking, speaking, breathing example of true love. But I still can’t put into words what love is. I think everybody’s answer would be different. I don’t know if you can actually perfectly describe it with one word or even a sentence. But I think you can show it with your actions. So, to me, these things are love. Hey there, "Finally another blog post!" I know. I'm mad at me too. But, the past few months have been crazy and crazy amazing. So, here I am to finally tell you all about it and a very important decision I made during that time. Warning; this is a long catch-up post!  Firstly, what on earth have I been up to these past few months? A whole lot! Firstly we have been busy hosting teams, which I absolutely love doing! We had the Gap squad in September and October. Then, three 11n11 teams for the month of November. Now we have another Gap squad for January and February. Why does this make me busy? Well, I have now been employed to cook for them all! It's so much fun and I love it so much. It's such a rewarding job. Each week I get two people to come with me to plan, shop for and cook all our meals. I get to know different people each week. I get to learn new things about food each week. Dear Reader, My birthday was while ago now but in June I turned 17 years old! Yep, I've been blessed with over 17 years old living now. I am by far not the wisest person out there and I have a lot still to learn but everyone always has something to teach you and so today I thought I'd share with you 17 things I've learned in my 17 years of living. If you have ants in your sugar put it in the sun for a while and the ants will leave on their own because they don't like the heat . But for other people it could be more complex Than that. For them it may require certain traits like loyalty, honesty or even passion. And people express love in different ways too. Some people prefer to give gifts and other like quality time more. It all depends on who you are and I think how you were brought up. Some people demand more love and others need little. Dear Bully, Life is so beautiful. But some people make it their personal mission in life to make others loose sight of that. There are people who tell you that your not worth it; that you'll never amount to anything, that you're ugly or dumb. But despite what they tell you you are beautiful deep down inside the darkest chamber of your heart. I know that you are hurting but the hurt that you dish out could amount to something much worse than a cuts on an arm or a change in schools. Hi all, Earlier this week my brother and I set of to town to capture the essence of this city. I think we did pretty well. Here are just a a few of my favorite shots. I hope you like them. We biked half way into town then locked our bikes and set of on foot. Yannick carried the camera bag which held the different lenses. I challenged myself to take picture of people because I tend to be shy when taking pictures. I got a few and they turned out pretty well I think. We walked along the river until we couldn't go any further. Then we turned around and went back. I got a total of 97 photos. They ranged from flowers to children.
